Steve Bondy-Stephen Bondy is a passionate music educator. He has bachelor and masters degrees in guitar performance, and has been active as a teacher, performer and clinician for many years. He first took Suzuki guitar training in the summer of 2001 and has had a full guitar studio for years. He is a lively, engaging and exciting teacher; a sought after clinician locally and nationally. In addition to teaching Suzuki guitar, he also teaches the Music Together program (with level II certification), and is pursuing certification in Dalcroze Eurhythmics.
Bill Kossler- William Kossler received BM and MM degrees in Guitar Performance from the University of South Carolina as a student of Christopher Berg. He has placed as a finalist in regional and national guitar competitions and has conducted Long Term Artist Residencies with both the South Carolina and Tennessee Arts Commissions. William is a co-author of the Suzuki Guitar Method and graduate of the Talent Education Institute in Japan where he studied with Dr. Shinichi Suzuki and Mr. Toshio Takahashii. He currently is a teacher with the North Carolina public school system, he runs a private Suzuki guitar/violin program with his wife Lauren, and is on the North Carolina Arts Council’s Touring Artist Directory as performer on the guitar, lute, and vihuela. William also conducts Suzuki Method teacher development courses internationally for the guitar.
Sean Behrens-Sean Behrens received a BM degree from Colorado State University and a MM degree from the University of Denver in classical guitar performance. He has studied with renowned guitarists Masakazu Ito, Ricardo Iznaola, Jonathan Leathwood and David Leisner. Mr. Behrens has been a teaching and performing for many years. The Behrens Guitar Studio, which he founded in 2003 with an emphasis on the Suzuki Method has been going strong and continues to grow. Mr. Behrens is active in composition, arranging and in addition to his teaching duties, occupies the guitar half of the Chanterelle Duo and participates various experimental rock projects both locally and remotely. Mr. Behrens commitment to the Suzuki Method has made him a sought after instructor in the Austin area.
Andrea Cannon is an alumna Boston’s Berklee College of Music where she majored in Guitar Performance with an emphasis on jazz and received an Outstanding Alumni Service award. She has performed in Master Classes with Robert Guthrie, Christopher Parkening and Judicael Perroy.
Andrea founded Guitar Arts Studio in Houston, Texas, which is a National Model Program for Suzuki Guitar and one of the premier guitar programs for young children in the U.S. Student ensembles have performed events with Van Cliburn (MTNA National Conference); in the GFA Youth Showcase (Ithaca, 2009); and William Kanengiser (University of Texas at Dallas Guitar Festival)
Andrea travels internationally as a clinician and performer. She is a contributor to publications including the American Suzuki Journal, Soundboard and American Music Teacher. Andrea is certified through Music Teacher's National Association and is a Registered Teacher Trainer with the Suzuki Association.
