The institute dates are as follows:
Suzuki Guitar Book 2: July 5th-9th-This is the second in the series of Suzuki Guitar Book Training. Material covered will include techiques for teaching repertoire along with follow up to issues covered in Book 1 training. Participants must have completed and registered Book 1 training. Participants will have the option to do Books 2-3 consecutively at this institute. Both books will be taught by Andrea Cannon.
Suzuki Guitar Book 3: July 9-13. The 3rd Book in the series. Deals with teaching techniques and issue that come up with specific age groups at this level and how to maintain enthusiasm. Participants will have the option of doing Book 2-3 consecutively over a 10 day period.
The basic repertoire requirements for the SAA video audition are the Bouree by Leopold Mozart and The Folias Variations by Vidali. Both pieces are to be found in Suzuki Guitar School Book 4 which may be obtained at www.ymonline.com .
Practicum: July 5th-9th. This is a fantastic opportunity for current Suzuki Guitar Teachers to have their teaching evaluated by one of the original founders of Suzuki Guitar, Bill Kossler. Participants in this course must provide video footage of their teaching to show in class. You will get direct feedback on your teaching from one of the best in the business. Class size is limited. the cut-off date is April 30th. Please check the SAA
